These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Callabridge (“we”, “us”) about your use of West’s Mapping Guild at https://westsmaps.com/, including the map generator, the Minecraft map tools, accounts and Premium memberships (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service is in beta
The map generator is in beta. Features may change, be removed or occasionally not work as expected, and maps may contain errors. Please export or keep copies of anything that matters to you. Found a problem? Tell us through our support page.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the permission of a parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and complete any purchase of a Premium membership.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your email address current.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us right away at ryne@callabridge.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
4. Free and Premium plans
Anyone can generate maps without an account. A free account lets you edit maps, map Minecraft worlds and save up to 2 maps. Premium memberships are billed at $10/month or $100/year (plus any applicable tax) and let you save more maps.
- Automatic renewal. Premium renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method each period.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your Account page (Manage billing). Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew after that.
- Price changes. If we change prices, we will tell you in advance and the new price applies from your next renewal. You can cancel before then if you do not agree.
- Refunds. Refunds are covered by our Subscriptions & Refunds.
- If Premium ends, your saved maps are kept. If you have more saved maps than the free plan allows, you can still open and edit them, but you cannot save new ones until you are back under the limit or renew.
5. Your maps and content
You own the maps, names, labels, drawings and images you create or upload (“Your Content”). You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, display and back up Your Content only as needed to run the Service for you. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for copies kept for a short time in backups.
Only upload images you have the right to use, such as screenshots of maps you made or that you have permission to use. You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure it follows our Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Use of the Service must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break it.
7. Minecraft and other games
The Service is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft-based maps are produced from world-generation math or from images you upload and may not match your world exactly. Server names such as CivMC or Stoneworks are mentioned only to describe how people use the Service; we are not affiliated with them. See our Disclaimer & Trademarks.
8. Our property
The Service itself, including its software, design, text, logos and generated artwork styles, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. You may use maps you make with the Service for personal and community projects, including sharing them online and on game servers. You may not copy, resell or rebuild the Service, or scrape or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email ryne@callabridge.com with: your contact details; a description of the work; where the material appears on the Service; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove the material and, where appropriate, close accounts of repeat infringers.
10. Third-party services
Payments are handled by Stripe, and the site is hosted by our hosting provider. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from the Service.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, put others at risk or create legal exposure for us. Where reasonable we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your maps. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability) survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, especially while it is in beta. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that maps will be accurate, or that saved data will never be lost.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
14. Indemnity
If you use the Service in a way that breaks these Terms or the law and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent allowed by law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Kentucky, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the place you live.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If a change is significant we will let you know, for example by email or a notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
