This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage West’s Mapping Guild uses. We only use what the Service needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Sites can also keep information in your browser with “local storage” and “IndexedDB”. These stay on your device; they are not sent to us unless noted below.
2. Cookies we use

These are strictly necessary for logging in, so they cannot be switched off while you use an account.
3. Browser storage we use

This information stays in your browser. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it, which resets the generator and deletes unsaved drafts and local undo history. Maps you saved to your account are not affected.
4. Third parties
- Stripe. When you go to checkout or the billing page you are taken to Stripe’s own site, which sets its own cookies for payments and fraud prevention. See Stripe’s privacy policy for details.
- Google Fonts. Our typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers. This does not set cookies, but your browser shares your IP address with Google to download the fonts.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above you will not be able to log in, but you can still use the map generator without an account.
